Portsmouth, NH is one of my favorite places. I always find something new there. This shadow shot is from an early spring trip. I liked the silhouette of the tree juxtaposed with the lighthouse.
This is shadow is for Shadow Sunday.

This has the true feel of coastal New England from the bare tree, clapboard sided house and of course, the lighthouse. The monochrome seems perfect as the nearby Winter will have a snowy Nor’easter that this reminds us of. Nicely captured!
It reminds me of a scene out of a movie... which one..?? I like it!
Beautiful picture. Love the silhouette of the tree with the lighthouse.
It has a bit of a spooky touch to it, reminds me of a book cover or the opening scene from a scary movie.
Thanks for sharing!!
yes the composition works really well - quite eerie..
I love lighthouses and this one is delightful and I agree with Jeanette that it does have a spooky touch and would be a great book cover -- I love mysteries, too! Have a great weekend!

First thing that came to mind when seeing this was Edgar Allan Poe which is a good thing, he's one of my favorite poets. Fantastic shot, I love it.
Beautiful shadowy, haunting outlines! And love the overall blue mystique of the photo!
I love the silhouette
the entire scene is magic
very beautiful!!
So New England-ish! :)
Gorgeous composition, love the lighthouse and the pale blue colours
it looks like a shot out of a horror movie. Fabulous photo
