Old house and new friends

Do you remember last week I mentioned the eclectic old collector who collects old houses? This is a close-up one of the old lamps on and old house - it has a lot of nice shadows and textures for Shadow Shots and Scenic Sunday!

The image on the right is a fiber portrait created by me. The subject is a Siamese kitty that join a friend's family in the last year. I started the portrait by making a sketch on paper, using color pencil to help me remember the colors of the final artwork.  Then using the drawing as a template I create the art work using only fabric and thread. This is my contribution to Camera Critters!

That looks like a really charming old house. I would not mind living in something with so much character.

The detailing on the old house, especially the lamp, is so ornate and artistic - nobody styles and builds such beauty these days,,,

This kitty shows cute and cattitude at the same time. Wonderful art!

A lovely lamp and a lovely kitty. Is the kitty hand embroidered? It's really beautiful work.

Love quilts - I'm going to have to try some quilting myself of course it would not compare to your art - but I think it might be funtastic!
