Tendrils from a grape vine? Hmmmm.
Some kind of vine of a plant in the pond/water?
Jama, You are right!!! This photo was taken from canoe, looking down into the pond water below me.
Great shot and I couldn't guess until I saw the comments.
I think the tendrils are the stems of the buds, getting ready to flower...but it never occurred to me that they might grow curled like that! Neat picture: the reflections on the surface of the water and looking below the surface to the submerged leaves and stems make an interesting image.
That is so cool. I was going to guess something in the water...Neat shot..Thank you for posting to Nature Notes...Michelle
Neat looking photo! Cool capture. I just got into canoeing last summer and I am looking forward to going again this spring. It is fun!
