Washington Mall

I took this photo in Washington. The sun was coming down quickly and I wanted to get closer to the Lincoln Memorial to take a better photo of its reflection. I recall running down the side of the reflecting pool taking photos along the way on the run.  Turned out that my favorite photo from that night was this one, taken early in my run.  I liked it because I have not seen a photo of the Lincoln Memorial taking from this vantage point.

Thank you, Diane. The amazing thing that I had no filters or anything, it was all totally natural. The light was magical that evening.

Yes, indeed, a stunnning photograph. I would like to be able to embiggen it to enjoy it in all its glory.

You have captured wonderful colour both in the sky and in the reflecting pool. I do line the lines of pespective running all the way down to the Memorial.

Good entry for our meme.

The angles seems to be following that straight line to infinity. Just so we don't get too complacent, the monument shows up! The sunset glow seems even more impressive as it peers around the columns. Excellent capture!
