Most people don't think of Gondola Rides in Boston, but believe it or not, gondoliers give rides on the Charles River in Boston -- all decked out in Venetian garb, complete with accordionist. They provide a nice addition to this view of Boston downtown in my contribution to Watery Wednesday and Outdoor Wednesday.

How cool, have you been on one of the gondola rides?
Hi Eileen! No, I have not gone on one of these trips - they are pretty expensive. The cheapest one is $139 for two people. I enjoyed taking the photos of the gondolas for free much more :-)
So beautiful to see!
I never knew that~ wow - it is quite expensive. What a wonderful picture with the cityscape as a backdrop!
the bridge looks European, and i didn't know there are gondolas in Boston. cool!
Ooh these last few days have been lovely for that. I have never seen these before.
You learn something new every day. I had no idea.
Great picture!!
I have to admit, I've never thought of a Gondola in Boston, but that's really a neat idea. A number of my ancestors were early Bostonians, and I have to wonder what they would have thought. LOL! Probably, cool! Let's take a ride! ;-)
Happy Outdoor Wednesday...
XO,
Sheila :-)
I didn't know that. What fun and what a giggle. I loved your photo. Have a wonderful Outdoor Wednesday.
How interesting that gondola rides are available in Boston. I'll have to look into that if I ever get back to Boston. Thanks for visiting my site.
I wasn't aware of that last time we were in Boston, but then it's been a while.
Hi Martha, I was not aware of it until 2 weeks ago and I live here :-) Apparently they have been in operation for a couple of years.
I have been on one, but in Venice two years ago. :)
It is a great image :)
Who'd have thunk it? But the Charles River would be a great place for gondolas. :)
How cool! I will have to remember that the next time I am in Boston! Thank you for sharing it with us!
