Fall in Boston

I am participating in Shadow Shot Sunday and Scenic Sunday.
This shot is walk down the Back Bay neighborhood of downtown Boston.  This neighborhood gained its name because the area was, before extensive landfilling in the 19th Century, literally the "Back Bay" for Boston.  This is a very pretty area. It has strict building regulations and produced a beautiful architecture consisting mostly of three- and four-story residential brownstones.  These days it is pretty expensive to live here, but it is free to walk, enjoy and take photos!

The second contribution is to  camera critters.  We startled this deer while taking a walk in one the Audubon Society parks.  A second after this shot was taken she was running so far she was a blur!  I was very lucky to catch her looking at me!

The pink water lily is my contributions to Today's Flowers.

You were so lucky to startle that deer! Look at that tail! A photo to cherish.
Thanks so much for informing me about my "missing link." Duh ... it does help to actually publish the post before signing in at Camera Critters. (I don't often do drafts.)
I'm having such fun going back through your posts. Cranberry bogs?? There is a lot to learn here.

There seems to be a classic look to the streets of old Boston. The Hub seems its old self with the stone walls, black iron fences and the ancient trees leaving shadows everywhere. Reminds me of Revere's ride. A classic capture!

I've only been to Boston once and I believe I walked down that street! It seems so familiar. Too long ago to remember the specifics, though. How lovely a scene that is! Quite the invitation to take a fall stroll.

Wonderful shots, I love them all! The bright pink of the lilly pad blossom is a wonderful sight today given the dark, dreary weather we had!

Oh Boston looks absolutely charming dressed in fall colours! Stunning and the deer definitely has a startled look! Congrats with catching him looking at you rather then tailend as he runs off! The water lily is also beautiful...Greetings from Norway!!
